I am recruiting for an HR Business Partner for a client in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. This is a 9-month contract paying a salary of £38,000-£40,000/annum. In this role you will work with the Head of HR and People Development to design and deliver the HR change management processes that support organisation change. Change management and redundancy experience is essential.

Duties and responsibilities include:
• Working with managers to design job roles that support business transformation, formulating job descriptions and person specifications for new posts and conducting salary benchmarking
• Working with the Head of HR and People Development to map out the HR processes required to deliver organisational change
• Planning and carrying out recruitment activities to ensure roles are appropriately filled
• Supporting and advising managers in the identification of training and development needs as part of organisational change
• Coaching, supporting, mentoring and challenging managers in the application of HR policies and practices
• In conjunction with the Head of HR and People Development, managing the implementation of specific projects, preparing project plans and providing regular updates
• Providing advice and supporting managers on complex casework arising from employment issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness and other key people management processes in order to minimise risk and financial exposure
• Remaining professionally up to date with HR trends, legislation, local and national initiatives, techniques and issues to identify relevant local risks and opportunities at all times ensuring sufficient understanding of the organisation and its workforce in order to provide effective advice
• Other duties as reasonably requested

The ideal candidate will have:
• CIPD qualification
• A high level of knowledge and experience of change management processes, practices and legislation
• A good level of knowledge and experience of general employment legislation and best practice in HR management
• Previous experience of designing and implementing recruitment and selection processes
• Previous experience of providing complex, professional advice to managers in relation to recruitment, grievance, disciplinary, capability and absence cases
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade/influence others
• The ability to think creatively, problem-solve and work under pressure
• The ability to deal positively with and initiate change
• The ability to handle challenging and sensitive situations in a professional manner
