Finance Operations Team Leader

Opus LGSS are looking for an experienced Head of Finance Operations in Northamptonshire.

The Head of Finance Operations will be responsible for providing the following services to Shared Service partner councils, LGSS and new LGSS customers and future partners:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Finance Operations Helpdesk,
  • Financial Assessments
  • Client Funds
  • Monitoring and Payments (Adult Social Care)

The job holder will report to the Director of Finance and due the broad nature of the Director’s role the Head of Service will be expected to operate in an autonomous manner. The Head of Service will ensure that all transactional services are delivered in a cost effective manner to agreed standards and LGSS design principles of:

  • Co-location of transactional teams
  • Fully integrated single transactional functions
  • Balance of services and teams across all sites
  • Convergence of processes and ways of working
  • Standardisation and simplification
  • Use of technology to drive out cost

The job holder will report to the Director of Finance and due the broad nature of the Director’s role the Head of Service will be expected to operate in an autonomous manner. Ideally we would like you to start as soon as possible for an initial 3 months with the opportunity to be permanent.
