They are a forward-thinking organisation going through a period of significant transformation and they are looking for an experienced and dynamic HR professional to lead the organisation through this journey on an initial 6-month minimum contract.
The Role:
As the Interim Head of ER & Transformation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's future. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will oversee individual consultation processes, manage employee relations, and drive organisational change initiatives. Using your expertise, you will work closely with trade unions, ensuring constructive and effective negotiations that align with their strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment law.
- Advise managers on grievance, disciplinary, and performance matters.
- Lead restructuring projects, ensuring smooth transitions and employee engagement.
- Manage and oversee redundancy processes
- Act as the primary contact for trade unions, handling negotiations and disputes.
- Provide leadership to the HR team, mentoring and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee HR functions, ensuring policies remain up-to-date and legally compliant.
Essential Criteria:
- Extensive experience in HR leadership roles, with a strong background in managing and HR operations.
- Complex ER experience, experience at ET would be a great bonus
- Proven track record of managing trade union relationships, including collective bargaining and consultation processes.
- Demonstrated success in leading organisational restructures and driving organisational design initiatives.
- Experience in managing redundancy processes
- Line management experience of HR Team
- Deep understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- High level of resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong project management skills.
Ideal Candidate would have:
- Experience in the VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) sector
- Experience in the Charities Sector
- Experience within a highly unionised environment
- Experience in managing restructures and redundancies
Benefits:
- This is a fully remote role (office space is available in London if desired)
- £57,000 per annum salary (+ £3,500 for inner London Weighting)
- Minimum 6-month contract
