Interim Financial Director

Based in Leeds city centre our client is a diverse professional services group.

This is a 12 month maternity contract which isn't a business as usual role. Our client is entrepreneurial, recently completing on an acquisition, and an agile business looking to make the most of market opportunities. They need a commercial and strategic individual to support the Directors and to add real value on strategy and at board meetings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to help play a big part in the groups future growth plans and development of their finance/operations function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and develop the full finance function and team to enhance financial systems, processes, and controls
• Lead on group budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities to provide insights into financial performance and support decision-making
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, KPI reports, and analysis to the board
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk effectively to ensure the company's growth strategy
• Providing accurate and timely financial information and leading on meetings
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement cost-control measures to improve profitability
• Oversee the full month end process and lead the annual statuary accounts with the auditors
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team, assisting in decision-making and business planning
• Create, develop and support a number of on-going ad-hoc commercial projects

We are looking for a career interim or financial controller/financial director looking to take on an interesting 12 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a more experienced person who enjoys working within a collaborative environment.
