Elevation Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be partnering with a prestigious manufacturing business based in Lincolnshire to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for a period of 6 - 9 months. This is an interim requirement to provide support throughout a period of internal change / restructure and the successful candidate must be able to commence employment in early July 2021.

The successful candidate will act as the interim lead on all Financial Accounting and Control within the group finance team and deliver a first-class service to internal stakeholders whilst continuing to develop the function to adapt to an evolving business.

Reporting into the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will:

* Have 2 direct reports
* Supervising Assistant Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant to ensure timely and accurate reporting of overheads and review fixed asset, prepayment, accrual, control account and other relevant balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparation of the monthly management accounts, to include revenue & gross margin reporting and supporting analysis
* Tracking profitability of all projects and undertaking regular reviews with CSMs to assess and analyse project performance, leading regular formal contract profitability meetings with the MD and CSMs to inform the CSM bonus calculation
* Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations for deferred income, accrued income, CoS accruals and Stock and WIP nominal codes
* Supporting the Group Sales Director with Sales Order Intake reporting and variance analysis and performing quarterly sales commission calculation reviews
* Production of monthly/quarterly forecasts, annual budget and long-range plans updates
* Oversee business partnering across the entire Finance Team
* Lead weekly sales forecast update meeting to ensure pertinence of information and projections
* Liaise with CSMs, Group Sales Director and Head of Coatings and Repairs as required to maintain accuracy of sales forecasts
* Partner with and assist the Sales Support and CSM teams in project costing, forecasting and profitability analysis, providing full life-cycle support from quote through to project completion
* Perform detailed financial review of all quotations, ensuring costings are accurate and consistent
* Review variance analysis performed by the Assistant Management Accountant to ensure overhead costs are controlled, variances are understood, and any opportunities for savings are identified and maximised
* Lead regular debtor reviews to ensure aged debt remains within targeted KPIs
* Support the Finance Director with ad-hoc reporting requirements as needed to satisfy lender and investor requests and requirements

Skills & Experience Required:

* Professional Accountancy qualification CIMA, ACCA, ACA Experience
* At least 5 years' experience in an accounting environment
* Experience of managing an ABL facility
* Experience of project and cost accounting
* Proven experience of cashflow forecasting
* Experience of preparing and presenting management accounts and supporting reports/analysis
* Proven ability to interact effectively with senior executives
* Proven experience at working within a constantly evolving environment
* Experience of ERP systems in manufacturing, EFACS E/8 highly desirable
