Interim Financial Controller

A highly respected precision engineering business working within the Oil and Gas Industry

The Opportunity

An interim opportunity for 3 to 4 months as Financial Controller, this role will report into the General Manager and have direct line into the Chairman and the Board. The Financial Controller is responsible for the financial well-being of the company and working with the GM and Board monitoring and challenging the performance of the business and making recommendations. You will also have responsibility for HR and legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small finance and administration team
  • Support the GM and Board in driving growth within the business
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders and supporting organisations including Banks, Credit suppliers and Auditors
  • Manage and oversee all daily financial matters including cash books on a daily basis, bank reconciliations for all group accounts, working capital (including UK invoice Finance facilities), monitor customer collections and insured credit limit requirements
  • Manage weekly flash reporting - a circulation to senior management and Board members of current performance KPIs
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, supplementary reporting and analysis

Experience/Qualifications Required

  • Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience of being Finance Lead in SME environment and reporting to a Board
  • Experience of management additional areas such as HR and Legal
