The business operates from trading sites across the UK and Ireland and Mainland Europe and employs in the region of 10,000 people. As a measure of cost saving and efficiency improvements the shared service centre is currently under-going a mass project in systems integration and process improvement.
They have an interim need to recruit a Senior Finance Manager, initially on a fixed term basis for six months. It is likely that this contract will be extended either in the same capacity or in a different role depending on the future needs of the team.
They are seeking an individual who will make an immediate impact in supporting the above efficiencies at the same time. You will head up the general ledger team comprising of ten people including two qualified accountants. Responsibilities will also include being overall responsible for the compliance and controls whilst continuously developing the team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to make an impact in developing systems and processes in a shared service centre function. You will be driven, an influential decision maker who thrives in a challenging and demanding environment. Technical expertise is a pre-requisite as is holding a certified or chartered accounting membership.
