Interim Finance Manager - Maternity Cover (9-12 Months)

Our clients business has gone from strength to strength over the last 3 years and with further change planned it's a key priority for them to ensure the right person fills the boots of their Finance Manager for the next 9-12 months. Reporting in to the CFO this role is pretty hands on, if you love a broad role within a smaller business environment and the ability to really own day to day finance operations this could be for you.
We are very open to hearing from qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience interims on this opportunity, what's more important is your experience. Here are some of the key responsibilities:
- Daily cashflow management, reporting and forecasting
- Monthly management accounts including all commentary and the production of monthly KPIS reporting for the board
- Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Overseeing all ledger activity including - Purchase ledger, Sales Ledger including customer invoicing
- Payroll - preparation of payroll including all statutory filings
- Year End preparation
Our client is keen to attract a Management Accountant or Finance Manager who already has experience within other smaller organisations as this role is truly hands on in all elements of accounting. You should already possess experience of preparation of the monthly management accounts board pack but equally be happy getting stuck in to some of the more transactional based activity to keep this department ticking. Ideally you will have experience of deffered income but this isn't essential. In addition to the technical skills you bring to this role, its equally important to hire a person who can demonstrate a can do attitude, flexible and positive approach with the ability to build brilliant colleague and stakeholder relationships.
Our clients workforce have a completely flexible approach, if you want to work your own hours around family life instead of being restricted to 9-5 this could be ideal, as long as your work is done you are able to pick your own start/finish times and breaks in the middle! Initially you will need to sped a bit of time on site (Nottingham) but going forward if you preference is to work from home with the odd day in the office our client can accommodate this too. Its expected the role will be full time (37.5 hours) however our client will consider a slightly reduced working week.
