£400 - £500 per day.
Procurement People have been exclusively engaged by an exciting and dynamic procurement consultancy to identify and attach interim category experts who know everything fleet and haulage. You will work in a client facing role across a variety of different sectors from FMCG retail outlets to corporate offices to ensure best in class procurement advice is given.
Your duties will include:
o Interact with key stakeholders and analyse data to create category management approaches that deliver against both client and Business needs and expectations.
o Advise and agree with clients on the procurement strategy for high spend categories
o Deliver measurable savings through hands on category management including undertaking tenders, negotiations and auctions on behalf of clients.
o Provide the enquiry, insight and creative thought needed to deliver a step change in supply chain performance.
o Influence stakeholders (clients and suppliers) to secure agreement to proposed solutions.
o Use of leading edge tools and processes and creative thinking to design solutions which deliver rapid cost savings and improvements in performance
o Sourcing suppliers from the UK and Worldwide to meet clients' needs
o Deliver projects within agreed timescales
To be considered you must have a demonstrable track record of successfully identifying cost saving across a business fleet/haulage categories. You will ideally be degree level educated and MCIPS qualified. Exposure to FMCG retail outlets will be a distinct advantage. For more information please contact James Weaver.
