Location: Basel, Switzerland

The Requirements:

  • You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in the laboratory services, Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry with experience in laboratory fit outs, space optimisation, advising clients on LEAN, laboratory layouts - you will be a true brand ambassador for the business and must have scientific credibility
  • Could be working for a laboratory services provider such as Sodexo, Trinity Biotech (Thermo), VWR (Avantor) or PerkinElmer OneSource for example
  • A good understanding of a typical laboratory asset portfolio and be able to benchmark industry solutions for lab asset services as well as be a creative leader whilst having a high degree of knowledge for laboratory settings
  • Able to influence and create opportunities with senior business stakeholders, some knowledge and experience of lean sigma processes an advantage
  • Able to partner with other teams and suppliers and deliver results in a matrix environment, managing multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Project management skills, ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis

The Role:

  • Enable successful on account growth of Laboratory Services adding to the existing portfolio
  • Be the go-to owner of client Scientific Services intelligence (keeping up to date with strategies)
  • Attend key client meetings to share industry best practices and become the key technical officer for lab services working alongside Laboratory Strategy and Project owners
  • Own the flow of communication for relevant industry events, round tables, off account wins that are of interest and could influence the confidence with the Scientific client
  • Support sales opportunities and project proposals in the pursuit of account growth for service line
  • Own regular internal stakeholder update meetings and communications for the portfolio
  • Working closely with your colleagues, specifically the account-based Laboratory Strategist, Scientific Projects lead and Business Development colleagues to identify growth opportunities for laboratory services
  • Support the bid process and proposals for Business Development specific to the account
  • Develop key relationships across the relevant client Scientific, Financial and Commercial stakeholders and coordinate the business owner mapping
  • Liaise with FM and Real Estate Managers for access to scientific areas where engineering activities are taking place and keep abreast of activities taking place in the Scientific areas
  • Act as primary point of contact for key client Scientific stakeholders, sharing best practices across the business and from off account industry intelligence to build the confidence with the scientific community
