Hays Healthcare is currently looking to recruit Intensive Care Nurses to work across Yorkshire. Hays are seeking experienced ICU Nurses to work in the Yorkshire Area. There are working opportunities for both Level 2 and Level 3 trained nurses. We can offer a variety of shifts with flexible working patterns and competitive and negotiable rates
Your new role
The successful candidate must be able to work with critically ill patients and be able to work under pressure and deal with situations with efficiency and composure. They must be able to react decisively and intelligently in emergencies, perform and assist in medical procedures with accuracy, expertly operate life support machines and other medical equipment, and carefully look after patients with severe medical conditions.
Specific critical care nurse duties and responsibilities can include:
- Assessing a patient's condition and planning and implementing patient care plans
- Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
- Assisting physicians in performing procedures
- Administering intravenous fluids and medications
- Responding to life-saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
What you'll need to succeed
We require nurses who have a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration, as well as a minimum of 6 months NHS experience within the last 2 years.
