An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chartered Legal Executive or Solicitor to join my clients busy head office in Bishop’s Stortford. My client is an established firm which specialises in EL/PL insurance litigation and dispute resolution. We defend a wide range of both pre and post litigated claims for a number of Lloyd’s syndicates. They are also well known specialists in travel law and represent a number of leading tour operators.

The Role

You will be required to provide support to fee earners on a day-to-day basis. This will include undertaking tasks such as drafting witness statements, pleadings, preparing costs budgets, report writing and preparing and filing court forms. You will also be required to liaise with clients and experts and undertake general file management.

The role is quite varied so you will be required to think on your feet and have the ability to undertake ad-hoc tasks with a good degree of flexibility. The roll will also involve an element of debt recovery for which we run a scheme and preparing letters before action.

The Person

Ideally you will have at least 12 months’ experience working as a paralegal in a busy office. You should have prior experience of working on cases both pre and post litigation in an EL/PL environment. You will be comfortable working independently with a good network of support and have a good eye for detail.
