A leading international law firm is looking for an Insurance Lawyer to join its Commercial practice in London. Working alongside colleagues in the US and the UK across the Banking and Financial Services teams, as well as corporate and contentious colleagues who work for Insurer clients, this is a unique opportunity to undertake a wide scope of non-contentious work focused on a growing and transformative sector.
Your new role
Working with a leading Chambers rated Partner, the successful candidate can expect to be involved in a range of commercial and corporate instructions from reviewing draft insurance policy wording, advising on commercial agreements of all types, to the provision of regulatory advice. The team also provides corporate support on insurance deals and projects related work.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need strong academics (2.1 or higher degree) or equivalent. The firm are seeking a UK Qualified Solicitor with 1+ years post qualification experience in the insurance sector. The successful candidate will bring some experience of non-contentious transactional work gained within the insurance sector, whether that be in private practice or in-house. An interest in the Insurance sector will be vital, as will excellent drafting skills and the ability to develop relationships with colleague across teams.
You will need to be able to give and take instruction, apply a forensic approach, and deliver commercially pragmatic solutions. You will need to be proactive and take initiative, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, be able to manage your own time, demonstrate excellent organisation skills and strong technical and research skills.
