INSTALLATIONS MANAGER (civils) 40k basic, 7k car allowance, bonus

My client are Fabrication and Access Solutions specialists and are looking for an Installations Manager to joining their growing UK Team. They are a Global business that operate on five continents. The UK supply multi material access cover solutions to the UK construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of our product installations.

Overall Role.

To site survey, schedule and provide overall management of subcontractors in the installation of access covers in the London and home counties areas.

Ideally based: oxfordshire, northants, beds, herts, bucks, essex, surrey, kent, berks,

Person specification.

Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with contractors, and office based colleagues.

Understanding of certain aspects of Sewers for Adoption (7th Edition)

Understanding of risk management processes and techniques.

Understanding of the Construction, Design Management (CDM) Regulations.

Knowledge of health & safety and environmental legislation.

Sound experience with dealing in subcontractor services (scope, cost and delivery).

Good stakeholder management.

Ability to develop productive working relationships with a wide range of people across all levels.

Job role.

Site surveys to identify requirements & scope of works. Most installations will require the removal of old products, and the installation of new updated products. There may also be an element of surveying new build projects.

Liaising with contractors for them to attend surveys and price for installation / civils works.

Checking design drawings are correct in line with surveys and approving (Part of a two person sign off)

Communicating product design requirements to the UK / overseas design departments, and overall management of the approval of designs / drawings by the client.

Obtaining and agreeing scope of works and overall cost of works with approved sub-contractors.

Writing and proofing RAMS for each project for the approval of the client.

Scheduling of products to stores / job site, and coordinating the product installation with the approved subcontractors - all to install dates: organising additional materials where necessary.

Site attendance during installations to oversee installations and sign off once completed.

Overall project cost and installation budget control.

Snagging surveys with client upon completion and arranging extra works to be done.

Variations / addition reporting and sign off.

Issue Letters of Conformity to Client when jobs are complete along with relevant O&M manuals

Provide technical support and knowledge to any maintenance activities.

Raising Early Warning Notices & Compensation Events where necessary under NEC

Essential Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

You may be a contracts manager, site engineer, supervisor or have manage a small team of ground workers with the above skills looking to progress your career.

HNC/HND in Building or Construction would be preferable.

APM Introductory certificate or equivalent would be preferable.

NEBOSH, IOSH, SMSTS or equivalent Health and Safety related qualification preferable

Full driving license

Experience in / knowledge of, the UK Water Industry would be an advantage.
