An international law firm seeks a skilled Insolvency Senior Associate to join its reputable Commercial Disputes team in Cardiff. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with a collaborative team handling complex, diverse, and high-stakes insolvency litigation across the UK and internationally. The firm operates in Cardiff, with additional offices in London and Paris, offering flexible working arrangements to support a balanced and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Independently manage a range of contentious insolvency cases while supporting partners on larger, more complex matters.
  • Client Service: Provide exceptional legal counsel to a varied client base, including financial institutions, investors, and business owners.
  • Business Development: Play an active role in building and maintaining client relationships, focusing on insolvency practitioners and industry contacts across the UK.
  • Professional Growth: Contribute to a dynamic team environment, bringing innovative ideas and a proactive approach to advancing both personal and team goals.
Ideal Candidate:

The role requires an experienced insolvency litigator who brings passion for contentious work, strong legal acumen, and a client-centered mindset. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ PQE in insolvency litigation within a reputable team, with demonstrable experience handling matters for administrators, liquidators, creditors, and business owners.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of insolvency legislation, recent case law, and an aptitude for navigating complex legal challenges.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commercial Awareness: A practical, business-focused approach to insolvency law, balancing technical precision with strategic thinking.
