Main Purpose of Insight Team Manager

This role is within our Resource Planning team, reporting to the Head of Resource Planning. The Resource Planning team are responsible for accurately forecasting and understanding customer activity with the Customer Life Cycle throughout their journey with my Client. The team are responsible for understanding all aspects of each part of the Customer Journey and identify ways to reduce CTS whilst enhancing the Customer Experience.

 Key Accountabilities of Insight Team Manager

  • Manage team of Insight Analysts
  • Present back on Business Cases to key stakeholders
  • Support the Customer Journey Segmentation Strategy
  • Communicate Insights, championing the customer perspective within the Business
  • Transforming large amounts of data into digestible and actionable management information
  • Providing insight into root causes to drive down Contacts Per Customer Metrics
  • Support senior management with their day to day needs including analysis and to help shape business decisions
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce CTS and pulling together business cases to support proposals
  • Have a clear understanding of the business question behind Insight requests
  • Support with creation of forecasting models

Essential Functional Skills/Experience

  • Experience in managing a team
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Experienced in the Energy sector with good understanding of core industry processes
  • Experience of working in an senior analytical role within the energy sector
  • An ability to work under pressure and take on responsibility
  • Experience of an analytical role within the energy sector
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint (use of complex formulas)
  • Data reporting and analysis experience
  • Advanced level of SQL and ability to write complex queries using multiple data sources
  • Ability to analyse complex and large datasets and drive meaningful insight
  • Experience of pulling together Business Cases with cost benefits attached
