A great opportunity for a life science-based graduate (BSc or MSc) with experience working to targets in a telephone, retail or face to face sales role, who is looking to move into scientific laboratory sales!
PRODUCTS: Antibodies, protein labelling, DNA and RNA products, western blotting, protein purification and associated products
TERRITORY: Office-based in Cambridgeshire
CUSTOMERS: Academic, Research and Commercial Laboratories
This position focuses on managing key customer accounts via maintaining and strengthening these relationships as well as generating new business opportunities. Identify and qualify sales opportunities via inbound leads, outbound calls and email communication.
Develop excellent relationships via telephone-based communication to new and existing customers.
Research strategies to develop relationships with prospective customers and search for high quality sales leads from different sources.
Ensure all customer contacts are inputted into the company's CRM database.
Provide technical support to new and existing customers and be able to offer advice about product and service selection.
provide quotations to customers after consultation with the sales team.
Ensure excellent communication and team work with the company's marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service areas.
Attendance at trade shows, seminars and conferences.
Educated to degree standard in a Life Sciences subject, knowledge of Protein Biochemistry preferred.
Experience working in a telesales role and/or working in an environment speaking to customers over the phone is preferred
Excellent relationship-management and communication skills
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
