I'm working with a large IT Consultancy, who are on the lookout for an Infrastructure Technical Architect based in Birmingham, with working knowledge designing data centre solutions, across various sectors.
This is a company that will support your career, providing longevity and professional development, and rewards their staff for their commitment. This is a well established organisation, with multiple offices across the UK and Europe.
You will be based in the Birmingham office, providing design work and architectural guidance for Data Centre infrastructure platforms. As the Infrastructure Technical Architect you will be supporting transition and project work, including the design, configuration and support for all Data Centre service clients.
The role will be a mix of technical architecture (which includes pre/post sales, design & delivery of solutions), technical support (minimal amount, but acting as a point of high level escalation when necessary), technology / solution management, and administration (documentation/process).
As the Infrastructure Technical Architect, you will have prior experience within a similar role providing architecture and support to enterprise level clients. Your skillsets will cover a variety of enterprise technologies, including:
- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware / Hyper-V)
Ideally you will also have design knowledge of one or more of the following:
- SQL Server
- Other storage technologies (e.g. 3Par)
- Networking technologies (e.g. Cisco)
- System Centre products (SCCM, SCOM)
