Infrastructure Programme Communications Lead

Location - Gloucestershire

Period - 6 months with a view to extending

An exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Programme Communications Lead to join a busy leading energy provider for an initial period of 6 months. As the Infrastructure Programme Communications Lead you will be responsible for ensuring the changes delivered by all the Infrastructure Programmes (Ruby, Sapphire, Mobile, Data centre) are communicated using suitable communications channels to deliver awareness, understanding and embed the changes. Currently there are a number of programmes that will require changes in behaviours and ways of working across all employees.

The Infrastructure Programme Communications Lead will have ownership and responsibility for delivering the communications strategy and blueprint which can be used to manage and support the change across multiple business units.

The Infrastructure Programme Communications Lead will work with the individual programme team and key stakeholders to develop central messaging to support key milestones at regular intervals. There is a requirement to work with Business Unit communications teams to deliver fit for purpose, timely messaging across multiple communication channels.

Accountabilities: Infrastructure Programme Communications Lead

Infrastructure Programmes

  • Develop and publish programme team communications to ensure the team are kept up to date with programme progress and activity
  • Scope and lead in the delivery of programme events
  • Understand the change priorities for the business units in order to effectively communicate the change
  • Support the development of communications and engagement plans for the programme
  • Set up and manage communications forum with internal communications colleagues
  • Understand dependencies and other work impacting end users to deliver consistent and joined up messaging to end users

Ruby Programme Voice workstream

  • Translates the changes identified via the change impact assessment into audience specific messages
  • Anticipate resistance to change and develop communications initiatives to mitigate
  • Develop and execute communications and engagement activities in line with the agreed communications plan
