Infrastructure Engineer - Windows Server, VMWare

An Infrastructure Engineer is required to work for a mid-sized IT Services company, on site at a flagship client in Bristol.

The Role

You will be managing a complex, enterprise scale infrastructure and will be responsible for all ongoing support and administration as well as any project work. The environment is regularly updated and it is essential that the successful individual has worked with recent version of all the available technologies.

You will be working closely with the end customer and will be acting as a key representative for the organisation and should be confident taking on this level of responsibility.

About you

You will have a broad technical skill set and be used to working with corporate, enterprise scale infrastructures and be used to high service standards including high availability systems.

You will have strong knowledge in the majority of the following areas

  • Windows Server
  • VMWare
  • Active Directory
  • MS Exchange
  • Networking
  • SAN Technologies

Additionally you will have experience of some of the following

  • Virtual Server Backup (i.e. Veeam, vRanger etc)
  • Backup Products (Symantec)
  • Clustering
  • Citrix (XenApp, XenServer, Netscaler, Provisioning Server)
  • SQL Server
  • MS Lync
  • Anti-Virus / Security
  • ISO27001 / ISO9001 experience
  • Any related certifications

You will be comfortable working in a highly professional working environment and have strong communication and customer facing skills as well as high standards of presentation.
