The Infrastructure Analyst will provide technical support, innovation and expertise to all none business specific infrastructure and centralised technologies.

The right candidate will demonstrate a strong "can do" ethos alongside a future vision viewpoint of gaining the best from "what we have" alongside excellent team player and technical skills. They will be required to provide the delivery both individually and via a team of timely issue resolution based on their expert understanding of system administration, customisation and configuration of recognised infrastructure. They will be expected to manage the customer by setting and delivering against agreed expectation management.

However, occasionally situations may arise that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks as may be reasonably requested by the company

Key Responsibilities:
Team Membership:

  • Own their individual development (Review/PDP/121)
  • Be an active part of the Infrastructure Management team occasionally deputising for the Manager as well as taking responsibility for the delivery of incident/problems and service requests that fall within their operational sphere
  • Ensure that Service Level agreements for all Incidents and Requests across the team are met
  • Ensure a high level of confidentiality is maintained in all aspects of work
  • To ensure the administration, implementation, documentation and support of all elements of infrastructure is updated when appropriate

The post holder shall:

  • Work with the infrastructure team in the delivery and development of infrastructure strategies to help the organization achieve strategic goals and objectives
  • Ensure company policies pertaining to the infrastructure are adhered to
  • Ensure appropriate security, version control, patches, backups and virus updates and controls are maintained at all times
  • Use relevant test platforms and apply upgrades and patches via Change Management processes to minimise any disruption to the businesses
  • Maintain accurate documentation and processes to enable a failover of the Infrastructure to a disaster recovery location to and agreed SLA
  • Keep up to date and aware of developments within the Group of businesses to ensure service is aligned to their needs
  • Look for opportunities to enhance and grow the infrastructure service offering for the Business Units across the Society by involvement at team meetings and strategy events where applicable
  • Maintain product technical updates for infrastructure that are supported
  • Make technical suggestions regarding modifications to documentation, product performance and failure analysis for infrastructure architecture
  • When required be part of project teams to deliver transition from concept to deliverable in the department
  • Keep updated with technical support knowledge that is transferred by the relevant operational support teams
  • Deliver excellent service calls ensuring that demeanour, technical accuracy, and conformity to company policies are evident at all interactions
  • Undertake any required training and study that builds ability relevant to the role

In addition, all employees are expected to work within the terms of their contract of employment and adhere to Group policies and procedures.


  • Graduate with computer-related degree or equivalent
  • At least 7 years technical infrastructure IT experience, with relevant technical skills, both individually and as part of a team
  • VOIP/Network/VMware Virtualisation/SAN storage/Oracle VM
  • Data Analysis Experience or use of Statistic Reporting
  • ITIL v3 foundation certification (Desirable)
