Information Security Analyst

Posted 21 February by Northgate

Never has Information Security been more prominent in our lives. Rarely does a day go by where it’s not mentioned on the news in some form. We’re looking to be ahead of the curve by hiring an Information Security Analyst to help us maintain our information security strategy and framework

As our new Information Security Analyst it’ll be your responsibility to determine where our information security risks exist, and to put measures in place to minimise them. You’ll be regularly dealing up to management level to give advice on information security best practice, and to ensure that our Managers are cascading this information down to their teams. You’ll also need to deal with any incidents or events that occur, and make sure that you’re logging these so we can see trends and make sure the same event doesn’t happen again

In order to be successful in this role you’d certainly need an appreciation of information security best practices and why these are vital to our business. You’d need an understanding of the Data Protection act and GDPR too. You’d also need a systematic and analytical approach for an eye for detail, as well as the ability to work with colleagues up to and including Manager level. If you had an understanding of IS 27001 and COBIT, it would be ideal

We’re offering a basic salary of up to £30,000 for the successful candidate, as well as a market leading package on top.
