£ 22,808 per annum, increasing to £ 24,009 per annum after 12 months in post.

Our client is a major social housing group providing almost 26,000 rented, shared ownership, retirement and leasehold homes across the East and West Midlands and Lincolnshire. They are also building an increasing number of affordable homes each year.
They are currently seeking an Independent Living Scheme Officer to manage housing management activities for Independent Living schemes. You will liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure appropriate, coordinated care and support is delivered to tenants to enable independent living. The post will home based and is in the Neighbourhoods and Operations team.
You will also promote and enable wellbeing activities within the scheme for both residents and other older people living in the local neighbourhood. Other duties will include monitoring the general well being of each resident on a daily basis and responding as necessary to issues or concerns and maintain a daily report log. You will work with colleagues and contractors to ensure that repairs and maintenance work and cleaning and grounds work in the communal areas is carried out as necessary and according to the specification.
The successful candidate must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with experience of working with older people in sheltered housing, housing management, and residential care, Home Care, Social Services or Health Services. You will also have experience of working with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies to secure and coordinate care and support for older people. Knowledge of organising and encouraging a range of social and leisure activities is also required.
Due to the nature of the role, you must have a good understanding of housing management. A driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is essential.
A current DBS will be required.
