About the Role

We are seeking a talented and client-focused Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) to join our growing Bishop’s Stortford office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced adviser—ideally Chartered or close to Chartered status—to work with an established, reputable firm offering long-term career development and high-quality client relationships.

You’ll be working with clients primarily based in the Bishop’s Stortford area, with opportunities to take over existing clients from advisers within the office and benefit from future acquisitions planned for 2026.


The Opportunity

  • Client base: Opportunity to inherit and build relationships with clients typically holding £100k+ in investable assets, with an average AUM of £300k per client.
  • Client profile: Predominantly homeowners aged 45+, including business owners, managers, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Typical advice areas:
  • 50% Pensions
  • 30% Investments
  • 20% Other holistic planning services

A full adviser portfolio equates to around 200 clients, allowing you to provide a genuinely personal and long-term advisory service.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds (or is close to achieving) Chartered Financial Planner status
  • Has around 5 years of experience providing holistic financial advice
  • Builds trusted, long-term client relationships based on integrity and expertise
  • Is self-motivated and values working in a collaborative, professional environment
