My client, based in Norwich city centre, are seeking a Income Support Assistant to work on a temporary basis.

Main Responsibilities
Maintaining the team’s administrative systems and identifying improvements to deliver more effective services for customers. Assist in making recommendations on current/former/garage tenant debt recovery policies and procedures.

To maintain administrative data collected in the tenant rent arrears service.

To be aware of rent arrears recovery policies and procedures and monitor compliance within the team.

To operate systems and procedures for processing face to face, telephone and mail enquiries to give tenants high quality customer services and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Assist with the preparation of calculating Housing Benefit arrears and approving Housing Benefit overpayments.

To operate working protocols with the Neighbourhood service and other departments to ensure smooth, effective delivery of a joined-up service to residents in Neighbourhoods.

To work towards attainment of Key Performance Indicators and targets.

The role is in a housing department and so previous experience in a Housing related field is desirable.
