Income officer needed on a full time basis in Bristol for a housing association

Your new company

You will be joining an established housing association in Bristol. You will be joining a housing association with a great ethos, wanting to make a real difference, by making sure the homes they own and build, and the services they provide allow residents to live the best life they can.

Your new role

As an Income Officer you will be working on a full time, temporary basis for a 6 month contract in Bristol. As an income officer you will be expected to manage the rent and service charge accounts from beginning to end across a range of tenures. You will need to provide a comprehensive debt recovery service and maximise the Organisation's rental and service charge income. As an income officer you will also be required to represent the organisation at Court, potentially carrying out evictions and working closely with the neighbourhood officer and lettings officer. As a income officer you will be providing excellent customer service to customers and colleagues. Part of your role will be to deliver a high quality rent collection and arrears recovery service in full accordance with the organisations policies and procedures. You will also need to provide an accurate, sensitive and responsive rent account enquiry and information service. Part of your duties will be to assist in ensuring that income is maximised and arrears of rent and other charges are kept to a minimum.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful income officer it is essential you have working knowledge in income management, carrying out income collection and reviewing rent accounts. You must have strong communication skills with an ability to deal with challenging situations when necessary.
