The role:

We now have a great opportunity to join the team with our transport / logistics inbound team on a full time permanent basis. Joining an exciting area of the business where you will be challenged and supported with a great team environment.

Outline and Responsibilities:

As the Inbound Transport Logistics Controller, you will be part of the wider Inbound Transport Engineering team working within the Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance. Working with key stakeholders such as Purchasing and Manufacturing. Delivering projects and KPIs in line with business objectives.

The successful applicant will adopt a mindset to challenge the status quo and drive continual improvement for the business relating to strategy, process and cost. The applicant will be expected to demonstrate an innovative mindset.

You will take responsibility for leading logistics scheme sourcing activity, transport cost comparison studies across Nissan globally, developing and owning standard work processes, delivering transport cost saving initiatives, owning budgets, leading key team meetings and monitoring reporting systems. You will work alongside ALE Upstream teams from product concept stage to start of model production.

Your milestones and performance objectives (KPIs) will be regularly reviewed with your manager.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Achieved/ minimum of 2:1 degree in relevant subject
• Forward thinking/creative problem solving
• Excellent written & verbal communication
• Good team worker
• Flexible working approach
• Ability to self-motivate
• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office software (mainly Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience in transport industry (desirable)
