Inbound Sales Energy Consultant

Working within our Digital Channel, as part of our telesales enterprise division, you will be working as an Inbound Energy Consultant, dealing with potential new customers to provide excellent customer service. Some of the key responsibilities will be to provide excellent customer service, procure the best energy solution for our customers based on their needs and cross selling of other Utilitywise products and services. The role is based at our Cobalt office. As an individual you will have a wide understanding of the Utilitywise range of services in order to develop a consultancy style approach and become a trusted advisor for your clients.

Key Responsibilites

  • Answering incoming calls in regards to customers queries as well as making outbound call when necessary
  • Managing inbound leads in timely manner and ensuring all call backs are completed
  • Providing customer service excellence, understanding the customers pain points and looking to procure the best energy solution for them
  • Cross selling additional products/services
  • Overcome objections from decision makers through excellent market and product knowledge, and great salesmanship
  • Accurately update any systems/CRM after every contact with customers
  • Achieve relevant KPI’s including but not limited to target conversion rates and as a result monthly revenues.
  • Have a great attention to detail to ensure all admin is completed correctly in the first instance and ensure all sales information is up to date for effective reporting
  • Use the Utilitywise marketing library/database to present utility solutions to customers, understanding the range of solutions on a consultancy sell basis
  • To adhere to the company’s compliance regulations. All sales are generated in line with our quality standards
  • Professionally represent the company at all times
  • Developing a consultative relationship with clients to provide best levels of service and develop trusted relationships with your customer base
  • Attend sales training, coaching and team meetings when necessary

Experience

Essential:

  • Experience of energy industry and the customer journey
  • Experience in working in a target and results driven environment
  • Experience in being able to overcome objections
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the sales process
  • Be a strong team player with a professional approach
  • Be able to manage time effectively

Experience of providing outstanding customer service

Desirable:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a contact centre sales driven environment
  • Knowledge of the energy industry is an advantage
  • Experience in high value consultative selling would be an advantage but is not essential

Personal qualities, aptitudes and skills

  • Good levels of written and verbal communication, ability to communicate professionally at all times
  • Ability to calculate information and percentages to prepare reports for customers
  • Providing outstanding levels of customer service
  • Knowledge of the energy industry
  • Have a consultative approach upon customer contact, be solutions focused
  • Ability to work as part of a team supporting team members and the management team at all times
  • Self-motivated with the ambition to earn and achieve targets
  • Can demonstrate creativity
  • High ethical and professional standards
  • Be organised and be able to manage your day effectively
  • Able to manage change in a positive and professional manner
