Inbound Sales Account Manager

Our Premier VIP Customer Executives look after our best customers, (Premier- or VIP customers), giving them advice and presenting them with exclusive offers and opportunities, by telephone. Executives build up their own customer file from within our customer database and make sure they are informed about products interesting for them, selling to them and helping them to build up a meaningful collection.

Key Duties
Duties include but are not restricted to:

  • Inbound b2c telephone calls to existing customers offering them items from campaigns to the agreed standard
  • Build relationships with our customers and provide product information
  • Use product knowledge to be able to identify customers' needs and requirements
  • Account manage own customer base as well as increasing this by identifying potential premier customers from working on other campaigns
  • Log all calls made and received, where required and maintain detailed and accurate records
  • Manage any written correspondence to customers when required according to the agreed standard
  • Manage, organise, and update relevant data using database applications
  • Maintain company sales database, as well as being competent in the use of email, excel and word
  • Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between customers/suppliers/visitors/enquirers and relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions
  • Interpret instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to administrative policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public
  • Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
  • In addition to these duties you may be required to carry additional tasks as and when necessary

General

  • Perform other office tasks as assigned and for other departments as needed
  • Order and maintain relevant office supplies for effectiveness of personal and general office duties for all
  • Operate a variety of standard office machines, including a computer, a variety of computer software, folding and enveloping machine, phone, fax, and photocopy machine
  • Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between customers / suppliers / visitors /enquirers and relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions
  • Interpret instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to administrative policies and procedures

Skills and Experience

  • Educated to GCSE level
  • Experience of working in an Office environment
  • Experience of working in a Sales environment
  • Working knowledge of MS packages
  • Clear communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving ability
  • Able to work without supervision
  • Actively develops themselves and encourages others to do the same
