Inbound Operations Coordinator

Our client has a vacancy for an Inbound Operations Coordinator to monitor and manage the inbound flow of product, for all brands. You will work with supply chain partners, to effectively utilise world class supply chain solutions, in a multi-channel environment (Retail, Digital and Wholesale) for a growing international business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1 Manage the flow of product and information (with a strong focus on milestones and timeliness of actions) through to delivery to DC

2 Work closely with strategic freight forwarders and carriers (inclusive of road, sea and air) to maintain and improve service level agreements, including quality of service and cost

3 Maintain and drive improvement across all associated IT systems, used for order visibility and for measuring necessary aspects of supply chain performance

4 Gather business intelligence of current and emerging freight forwarding solutions; from this information, present ideas around optimisation and process improvement to the inbound team and wider business

5 Drive conformity across all brands and divisions, to ensure the stability and the reliability of the inbound supply chain

6 Manage successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, whilst handling a variety of challenging issues

7 Coach and develop others within the inbound team on logistics principles, to help strengthen capabilities and meet organisational needs

8 Identify, assess and drive initiatives to deliver a best in class inbound supply chain proposition

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

1 Exposure to global supply chains (ideally within the retail sector), with experience in PO management, across all modes

2 Be able to demonstrate the ability to manage high value add partners e.g. freight forwarders, carriers and leverage their capability to drive value across the supply chain

3 Exposure to monitoring vendor compliance and performance, as well as driving improvement in behaviour

4 Adaptable and self-aware, with an ability to influence peers and managers

5 Strong and clear communication skills, that can be applied at various levels

6 Be able to relate actions to different partners across the internal business and with external partners
