Inbound Logistics Analyst/Stock Controller

Our client is an expanding re-distributor supplying restaurant chains throughout Europe for a Logistics Analyst to join their company based in North Wales to assure the smooth inbound and outbound flow of products across the warehouse network.

Inbound Logistics Analyst

The successful applicant would work as part of a stable, enthusiastic close knit team, reporting directly to the European Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange and plan any specials required (urgent shipments/ airfreights) keeping relevant departments informed
  • Liaise with suppliers on stock control, planning and accounting queries
  • Create shipments within the system for orders arriving by container vessel
  • Obtain quotes for import and export shipment arrangements
  • Ensure system is updated with any supplier price changes
  • Support inbound team on any insurance claims on inbound goods and help to resolve
  • Work with freight forwarders, suppliers, and warehouses to ensure orders arrive on time as per forecast
  • Communicate to all relevant departments information on any new items or promos
  • Respond to requests from customer service team on long-term stock issues
  • Support Supply Chain Manager in forecasting and maintaining stock levels
  • Manage inbound rate costs and communicate any changes to relevant departments
  • Effectively analyse data and create / update reports / KPIs as required
  • Monitor shortages and delays from suppliers for KPI’s
  • Provide cover for all positions within the inbound logistics team when required for warehouse schedules
  • Support the Inbound Supply Chain team and help to prioritise queries and requests from freight forwarders, warehouses and suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers on stock control, planning and accounting queries

Qualifications / Skills

Candidates should have strong analytical and research skills, ability to make informed decisions and communicate effectively. They should be organised, focused, dynamic and able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team and prioritise workloads and conclude tasks. There will be a strong element of reporting and gathering information to support the team and problem solve. The candidate will have advanced excel skills. Supply Chain or Purchasing qualifications are desirable.

37.5 hours a week

9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday (half an hour lunch break)

8am to 4pm Friday (half an hour lunch break)

Salary-£22,000
