Sector: Supply Chain Management / Retail Supply Chain / Freight Forwarding / Imports / Ocean Freight
Desirable Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Pivot Tables / Ocean Freight / Freight Forwarding
You will be working as part of a supply chain team assisting with the ongoing operational management of major retail customer.
Duties will include:
- Managing a busy inbox and responding to enquiries from buying team, import team and other freight forwarders
- Ensuring customer is provided with up to date sailing schedules
- Ensure that key product lines and launches arrive in at the destination on time
- Advising the customer of any changes to planned shipments or deliveries
- Address any issues and resolve them as soon as possible
- Understand all SOPs and make agreed amendments if required
- Work to all KPI’s as set by the management team
- Previous experience in a supply chain or freight forwarding environment
- An understanding of ocean freight terminology
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
- Understanding of key drivers within the supply chain
- Excellent I.T. skills including Microsoft Excel
