We are looking for a personable Import Merchandiser to join them growing team of one of our lovely clients, a fashion supplier. The Import Merchandiser will be working on menswear and womenswear for the high street customers, who will range from commercial retailers to higher end, luxury retailers.

The duties of the Import Merchandiser will include:

  • Taking over orders from the Sales/Account Management team and placing the purchase orders with the factories
  • Liaising with the factories on a daily basis, who are based in Europe and the Far East
  • Managing the critical path, updating it with new styles and chasing where necessary to ensure deadlines are met
  • Working directly with the Buyers at the customers to keep them well-informed and updated with the status of the orders
  • Working cohesively with the in-house product development team who will be sourcing and approving samples
  • Arranging bulk test reports

The successful Import Merchandiser will demonstrate excellent communication skills and also be fully competent using spreadsheets / Microsoft Excel. The Import Merchandiser should also have relevant experience within a similar role, however experience within the fashion industry is not essential.
