Import Clerk

Due to expansion the opportunity has arisen for an Import Clerk to join this dynamic, professional organisation. This is a challenging position based in a friendly, supportive team that will offer good job variety, satisfaction and reward.

Key duties will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for customers.
  • Taking bookings and keeping customers updated as to when their shipments will arrive.
  • Ensuring the correct shipment procedures are accurately carried out together with the production of all necessary documentation and associated data management.
  • Dealing professionally, effectively and timely with all customer queries ensuring problem solving and issue resolution to the customer’s satisfaction.

To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to display first class customer service skills, good communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail driving an excellence in operations.

With a proactive approach and the ability to work on your own initiative, candidates must have Imports experience working within the shipping or freight forwarding industries along with good knowledge of MS Office and associated imports documentation.
