IFA Administrator

My client is looking for an IFA Support Administrator. They are a privately owned, national advisory practice, based in Birmingham, who are continuously expanding.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the Advisers in the provision of financial planning advice to clients both private and corporate. Duties will include data inputting of fact find information and documentation onto the back-office system (IRESS), as well as diarising events throughout the business cycle. Producing new business packs and preparation for client meetings will be required, as will producing client portfolio review information then presenting it with meeting packs. Ensuring that the back-office system records are fully updated to enable accurate management information and reporting will be important. The candidate will be liaising with providers and clients as required. Other parts of the role will be maintaining training objectives, as agreed and maintaining professional and ethical standards in accordance with regulatory principles for business.

To be successful you will need

  • Similar experience of supporting Advisers in an office admin support role
  • To be able to work on own initiative with great attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, drive and energy
  • Motivated by working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organised and able to prioritise
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Able to use software packages such as Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Keen to progress with industry exams
  • Previous experience of the Standard Life and Aviva platform
  • Knowledge of group personal pension plans and auto enrolment
  • Knowledge of group risk schemes
