Reed Education Bristol are currently working with a client that help in providing children that are not in mainstream school, home tuition. We are currently looking for both part time and full time tutors to pick up new pupil referrals for positions starting ASAP and these tend to be long term positions in most cases. Please note, you must either have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to apply for these positions, or a teaching qualification within Further Education (FE). Please see details below;

The School:
• The home tuition will be for primary and secondary aged pupils across Bristol, Bath, Somerset
• Pupils may have physical or medical difficulties, anxiety issues, behavioural issues, or simply may not be able to attend school temporarily – for example, if a pupil breaks a leg
• Each pupil will have a maximum 10 hours tuition per week (2 per day), some may be less depending on their needs
• Work is provided by the child’s allocated school on most occasions, but some creativity and planning may be required at times to work with the child’s interests to engage them. Obviously, numeracy and literacy will be focused on firstly. Resources are available for all tutors to access at a central base in Caerphilly town centre
The Role:
• Providing one to one tuition at home for the student 2 hours per day (parents or carers are always present)
• Assisting in delivery of completed work to the school like coursework etc
• Constant communication with the LEA in regards to the child’s attendance and progress etc
What you will need:
• Experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• A patient and calm personality, and the will to really make a difference a difference to these children’s education life
• Full qualified teacher status (QTS) or a Further Education (FE) qualification
