The company are a small, growing support company providing IT services for over 20 clients across several locations around the Midlands and South East. Our provided services include: Server maintenance, WiFi, TV and Projector maintenance, but mostly PC and laptop repair in the form of a regular technician service.
We are currently experiencing rapid growth thanks to an ever-growing client list, and we are looking are looking for a 2nd line technician to support a variety of educational clients based primarily in Coventry and occasionally in Leamington. Primarily; you will be working within schools providing technical support as required by staff and implement good ICT procedures, practices and security for various establishments. This role also requires an amount of remote support, research, ordering, advice and telephone support for a range of equipment, services and sources.
38 Hours per week. Pay range is between 17k - 21k depending on experience and knowledge, full time or 39 weeks (pro-rata) will both be considered. Please make this preference known in your application letter.
The right candidate would communicate frequently with the other members of the team, provide remote and onsite support to clients as well as assisting via phone/email and taking calls/organising alongside members of the team.

The right candidate will be expected to work independently on client sites, and occasionally in a group, where you will ideally build a professional rapport with clients and provide technical support. The position benefits from 30 days annual holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) out of term time.
The right individual would have a rooted enthusiasm for IT as well as possessing a calm, approachable and friendly demeanour, with a strong work ethic and good communication skills. Our clients value a positive attitude, kindness, sound technical knowledge, and an ability to work well under pressure above all else.
Technical knowledge of Windows client and server is desired; covering a range from Windows 7/2008R2 upwards, ideally an understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Office 365, G-Suite, Unifi, offline files, VPN, Apple products, MDM, Microsoft Office, Security certificates, Firewalls and Capita SIMS would be beneficial. Cloud services and Azure are also strengths, although training will be provided.
This coupled with 2 years’ experience in the field of IT within a school and with a qualification (preferred but not essential). Ownership of a car, willingness to drive to several sites and a full driving licence is essential.
