Secondary ICT Teacher Role in RCT from November - Long Term - Interviewing Now
An exclusive role has become available for an ICT teacher for a Hays Partnership school in Rhondda Cynon Taf. This position is to start in November 2020 The school is looking for an ICT teacher to work on a full time basis, with potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Qualified Teachers will be paid a minimum of £127.72 per day in line with the NPS framework.
Your new school
This school in the south of Rhondda Cynon Taf holds 700 pupils and draws from a mixed catchment area, whilst also hosting a small 6th Form. It is located around 20 to 30 minutes from Cardiff, Merthyr, Bridgend & Newport. The school has been recently inspected and rated as 'Good' by Estyn and is still improving. The Leadership team at the school are well-established and work well to promote positive attitudes to learning and development, as well as continuous improvement. Behaviour at the school is generally positive and the level of care and support for pupils is high
Your new role
Starting in November 2020 you will work as part of the ICT department made up of. You will have full teaching responsibilities (including planning, preparation, parent's evenings and pastoral duties) for a KS3- KS5 Science timetable of ICT.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status or a PCET qualification and EWC registration
- Experience teaching ICT in a secondary school or college.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Track record of helping pupils achieve results
- Innovative and resourceful teaching methods
- Willingness to promote learning and provide a high level of care and support to staff and pupils
