The Role:

As ICT Application Development Analyst, you will have a key role to play in developing, maintaining and supporting the ICT applications portfolio, with lead responsibility for the development and support of critical line of business systems. Working as part of a professional ICT Projects Unit and working closely with the ICT Infrastructure, End User and Application Support Teams you will have an important role in assisting the organisation in driving forward a proactive, customer, high performance, cost effective and service improvement/efficiency focused culture.

As well as lead responsibility for the design, development, testing and implementation of any new bespoke integration and application requirements including making changes to current bespoke applications, you will support business systems packages and resolve 3rd line incidents. You should be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of application support, systems integration, analysis & design, software development and testing techniques.

As part of the organisation's team you will also be involved in their other ICT development programmes and projects.

Candidate Requirements:

You will have current and proven experience in software development, systems integration, analysis & design, application support, testing and Object Orientated Programming techniques. As a consequence, you will have significant skills and experience in various software and application development tools, for example expertise in some of the following xHTML/HTML 5, CSS, XML, Java Script & jQuery, Web Services, WCF, C#/VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL, SSRS, SSIS. Local Government applications knowledge would be desirable as would Umbraco experience.

As a senior ICT professional your customer service skills will be equally well developed and a commitment to quality evident in your experience. The organisation ensures that all customers, both internal and external receive a consistently high quality level of service.

The organisation is based in Darlington and the successful candidate may be required to travel to locations across the Tees Valley and wider region as necessary.
