I'm excited to be assisting my client, a top-tier and leading Lloyd's Broker, with an exciting IBA Technician opportunity within the Bureau department. This role offers the chance to join a dynamic team in their stunning London office, working with a range of clients and insurance underwriters to carry out the reconciliation and management of client money. Key responsibilities

  • Reviewing bureau dashboards to release available items to the bureau for settlement
  • Review of incoming signings that have not auto matched in the IBA ledger
  • Responsibility for making premium payments (PPWs) to insurance underwriters
  • Escalation of pending or suspected NOC activity liaising with key stakeholders
  • Responsibility for the reconciliation of accounts by working with clients, insurance underwriters, and brokers to ensure funds are collected
  • Dealing with credit control requests from insurers and providing responses on settlement
  • As required, involvement in the review and testing of internal processes and systems

Candidate requirements

  • Understanding of the general and legal principles applicable to insurance in particular FSA client money rules
  • Numerical ability and an analytical mindset
  • Ability to compile, analyse and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making
  • An understanding of cash collection/payment processes is desirable (such as general insurance accounting and client invoicing)
