Our client’s business lies within that of private patient healthcare and is highly patient centric. Over the last couple of years over £12m has been invested into our client’s premises meaning it is a very well equipped Hospital with hi tech medical equipment.
A recruitment campaign has resulted in professional and ambitious managers being recruited and we are now in a position to recruit an I.T. Manager to compliment this team. This is a superb time to join this organization and grow with it.
This being a pivotal role within the Hospital means that we are looking for you to be a "people’s person" with superb communication skills, you will have a "can do" attitude and be able to put together a detailed business plan that can be presented to the management board to justify long term I.T. investment.
Reporting to the Finance Director you will competent when working with computer hardware and software, have network experience; administration and installation and be capable of troubleshooting.
You will be up to date with corporate IT security systems and you will enjoy leading by example. It goes without saying that you will be able to work on your own initiative however we are also looking for you to be a team player who is able to balance the needs of the IT department with their own work load.
You will be the Hospital’s main point of contact with regards to all IT systems and you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures for electronic data processing and operations and development of systems.
You will meet regularly with your internal stakeholders and discuss their requirements and you will be responsible for delivering solutions in line with budget constraints.
There is an ongoing replacement programme for IT however this will be phased and you will be able to optimize some existing systems until your budget facilitates some changes.
Ideally you will have had some experience of PAS (Patient Administration System); you will need to ensure the integrity of the data in line with PHIN reporting requirements.
You will oversee some of the technical (IT) aspects of the Radiology Information System also and manage IT suppliers and contracts ensuring that they are cost effective and meeting their service level agreements.
Initially you will have two people reporting to you; an IT Officer and a trainee.
