The post holder will provide effective leadership and management of a large HR function ensuring the provision of a high quality professional HR service to an NHS Lanarkshire Division. Plan and implement HR strategies which support the goals and business plans of NHS Lanarkshire, with provision of efficient and effective HR direction and support at all levels. Undertake ad hoc projects and initiatives as required by the HR Director/Deputy Director of Human Resources and promote a culture of continuous service improvement.

You will be educated to Degree level with Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or equivalent Postgraduate Qualification/experience, with highly specialist knowledge in Employee Relations and in the application of UK and EU Employment Law. Specialist knowledge acquired through additional training and development equivalent to Masters Level or through attainment of MSc in Human Resources. Excellent leadership qualities in political astuteness, flexibility, with a consistent approach to leading change through people, communication and personal integrity with the ability to work with partnership working, with excellent leadership skills in political

Car driver with a fully driving licence is essential.
