Human Resources Advisor

We are looking for a Human Resources Advisor to be part of a friendly team of 6 people. The role will supervise one HR administrator and report into our HR Manager.
The main purpose of the post is to assist the HR Manager in providing a high quality and professional HR service to the Club, providing advice and guidance on all matters relating to HR to both Operational managers and the rest of the HR team. This could include recruitment, reward, employee relations and employment law.
The role is extremely broad, and the day to day will be a mix of everything from complex casework to assisting with HR administration, supporting a Head of Office of around 250 employees and a sites Network of up to 850 employees seasonal.
Duties will include:
Manage a caseload of HR issues including investigations, grievances and long-term sick
- Using a chair-based bespoke HR System to record an audit trail of actions (i-Trent)
Advise and support managers in all aspects of HR, dealing with complex casework personally
Supervise an HR Administrator and provide guidance to HR colleagues on higher level matters
Administration, including contract start/end in line with seasonal peaks
Build strong collaborative working relationships with managers at both HQ and Sites
Coach, challenge and advise line managers on HR processes and aid their development
We’re looking for the following skills and experience:
Strong knowledge and previous experience of using integrated HR/payroll database
- Proven experience of managing grievances
Excellent employment law knowledge
Around 5 years’ experience in an HR role
Experience of managing complex casework, conducting investigations and proposing solutions
Able to build effective relationships at all levels and be credible and influential
