An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a HR & Admin Assistant to join our team and be part of our Online operation currently based in Buntingford (Hertfordshire). At the end of 2018, this operation will be relocating to Biggleswade so we are looking for someone who can work at both sites.

We launched CEF Online in Jan 2015 and due to the growth of the division, we are now looking for a HR & Admin Assistant to join the team.

This position will initially be based at our current facility in Buntingford, just off the A10 in Hertfordshire. Due to its success, CEF Online will be relocating to brand new, purpose built premises in Biggleswade at the end of 2018. This position will be on a Full time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities will include

  • Assisting the Management Team where required

  • Compiling reports and spreadsheets

  • Managing holiday requests, calendars and diaries

  • Organising and overseeing staff training

  • Posting job adverts, dealing with Employment Agencies

  • Scheduling job interviews and assisting in the interview process

  • Dealing with day to day staff issues

  • Maintaining staff records and files

  • Direct liaison with Payroll dealing with payroll queries and issues

  • Any additional jobs requested by the Management team from time to time

Skills, Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

  • Must be able to prioritise and plan work activities ensuring time is used efficiently

  • Respect the importance of confidentiality, as you will be dealing with employees personal details

  • Must be adept at problem solving, gathering facts and statistics including being able to identify issues and resolve in a timely manner

  • Enjoy working with people and be able to work as part of a team

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, the management team, and other areas of the business

  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions & respond to management direction

  • Be patient, tactful, diplomatic and approachable

  • Must be able to work accurately, with good attention to detail

  • Have the ability to stay calm in difficult situations

  • Must have experience of the usual Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and outlook and the usual office equipment that would be associated with the role.

  • Successful applicants will need to be motivated, enthusiastic and hard working with a positive attitude.

Full training will be provided on our own in-house systems.
