Hi there!! I have an exciting opportunity for a skilled HSEQ Advisor to join the UK’s leading Waste Management and Road Sweeping company to assist in the rollout of new company wide system.
You will be responsible for overseeing the rollout across 4 Branches in the north.

Pay: £20.51p – Per hour – Weekly or Monthly paid + Mileage Reimbursment and Hotel costs.


Location:
Between 4 locations covering – Telford, Barnsley, Elsmere Port (Liverpool) & Washington (Newcastle).

Reports To:
HSEQ Manager

Job Type:
Fixed-Term Contract (6 months) leading to a Permanent opportunity available at end of rollout for the right person.

Job Summary:

The HSEQ Advisor is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of health, safety, environmental, and quality practices within the organisation. This role involves assisting with compliance audits, training programs, incident investigations, and data analysis to ensure the highest standards of HSEQ are achieved and maintained.

This position will involve working in various environments, including office settings, production areas, and outdoor sites. The role may require occasional travel to different company locations or sites. You will also be required to attend Head office at least once a month – Costs of which will be covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in monitoring workplace health issues and maintaining compliance with health regulations
  • Support the organisation and execution of health and wellness programs for employees
  • Participate in risk assessments to identify and mitigate health risks in the workplace

Safety:
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Assist in investigating accidents and near-misses, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions
  • Help develop and enforce safety policies and procedures

Environment:
  • Support the organisation’s compliance with environmental laws and regulations
  • Promote and assist with sustainability initiatives to reduce the organisation’s environmental impact
  • Oversee proper disposal and recycling of waste materials

Quality:
  • Monitor production processes to ensure services meet established quality standards
  • Assist with implementation and upkeep of current and aspiring ISO standards
  • General:
  • Support with the generation of HSEQ reports and documentation
  • Provide support for HSEQ training programs and maintain training records
  • Implement, maintain and manage HSEQ documentation in a centralised system

Qualifications:
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an HSEQ role or related field.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IEMA, CIEEM, IOSH, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) are preferred.
Full clean UK Driving License required.
Skills:
