I am working with an award winning business in South Cumbria who are recruiting a HR & Training Manager to join the Management team. This is a family-owned business which has operates a culture reflective of that, with a family feel to it.
The role will be a standalone HR position with a focus on aspects such as recruitment, absence management and disciplinaries due to a relatively young average age within their 100 employees and the sector that they operate within. There is lots of opportunity to bring ideas to the table and for initiatives to be implemented. A key area they would like developing is that of Leadership Training and coaching of Managers to become better People Managers. Therefore someone who has experience of delivering this type of training with a HR role previously is highly desirable.
You will report into the Managing Director and have indirect responsibility for an Administrator who will support with any HR admin.
Although in essence this is a Mon-Fri, 9-5 role, flexibility will be required as there may be the need to attend work on ad hoc weekends although this would very much be the minority and not the norm.
Any applicants must be Level 5 CIPD qualified as a minimum, with a strong knowledge of employment law. You will have operated in a HR Managerial post previously.
