HR Supervisor - On & Off Boarding (6 Month FTC)

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a HR Supervisor (6 Month FTC) to join our On and Off Boarding team within Employee Services.

Employee Services is the HR and Payroll shared services section of the HR Enabling Function providing critical, continual administrative support to employees throughout their entire lifecycle; from posting job adverts like this one to attract potential candidates through to the day they leave the company and every aspect in between. Employee Services is made up of core administration teams and specialist teams who look after our 16,000 UK based employees across a range of roles in construction, utilities and Rail.

On & Off Boarding play a crucial part in the providing a smooth process whether joining or leaving Balfour Beatty. We collaborate with our Recruiters and create offers and contracts which we upload to our Onboarding Portal supporting both our new starters and Line Managers to navigate through the numerous activities to ensure they are ready for Day 1 including provision of access and IT Kit, fleet requests; working with our third party providers with referencing, DBS and Medical requests.

We process all terminations and support our HR community with redundancy calculations, settlement agreements, references and exit questionnaires.

Our successful candidate will be experienced in managing people; having a proven record of developing team members and supporting them to achieve more and experience in identifying underperformance and successfully managing the person. Strong stakeholder engagement is critical in this role and confidence to liaise with - and, on occasion, challenge - Senior Leaders within the business is a must.

They will be self-motivated; proactive and able to use their initiative but, at the same time, be responsive to changing needs of our customers and adapt very quickly.

The new team member who joins us will be used to high volume workloads and will be able to prioritise work requests; assess and manage resource capacity in order to meet our KPIs of timeliness and quality.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous line management experience, ideally at a Supervisor level.
