This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Shared Services Manager to join a multi-billion pound turnover organisation.

Are you an experienced HR Manager with a background in central services?

REED HR are working with this established retail distribution business who are looking for an engaging HR professional with experience in managing a team in a fast paced central support environment. Based in Wellingborough, this role manages a busy team of 6 and administration support. 

Experience in a similar role is essential to be successful. Candidates who understand a multisite organisation will also be considered.

Role Purpose:

You will support regional directions and HR colleagues on a full range of generalist HR queries and issues. Case work is a large part of what the team advise on, so being up to date on employment legislations and advising on more complex cases is essential. Your team provide a HR Advisory services by telephone and email, supporting your team to do this effectively and efficiently is a big part of the role.

Customer service is also an important element of the role, any successful candidate will be experienced in providing HR as a service with a customer focus, and will encourage the team to adopt and maintain the same mindset.

Job Description:

• Provide daily support and conduct regular performance reviews to develop and support the team
• Review and update company policies
• Maintain up to date employment law knowledge both personally and that of the team
• Make changes, if necessary, to the way the team work to continuously improve service delivery
• Ensure records and reports are kept in line with data protection regulations
• Communicate effectively with the wider HR team and regional stakeholders to escalate issues and reach resolutions
• Monitor and report on workforce data including absence and leavers
• Provide information, data and reports to senior HR & operational teams as required
• Support the wider business and the senior HR team with annual and ad-hoc projects

The ideal candidate:

Qualified and experienced HR generalist
Experienced in managing a HR team
Strong Employee Relations experience
Will preferably have Retail/Wholesale FMCG HR experience
