HR Shared Service Manager

£55,000- £60,000 + company benefits


Our Client, a leading organisation within the technology and consultancy sector is currently seeking a HR Shared Service Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis in Peterborough. You would take responsibility for implementing change and continually improving service delivery, working closely with internal HR stakeholders and delivering a customer focused HR service across the organisation through a small team.

You will be an experienced Manager with a shared services background and significant experience in all aspects of HR to include, HR systems, HR Policies and processes, employment law, pensions and HR administration.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a small team; developing their capabilities and expertise to provide a quality HR service to the business
  • Identifying and managing operational risks
  • Delivering continuous improvement activities in a HR environment using a variety of techniques
  • Effectively managing an offshore team
  • Managing the delivery of HR processes and first line advice across the organisation in line with agreed SLAs
  • Managing stakeholder relationships
  • Interfacing with HMRC as required
  • Setting metrics and SLAs to measure performance of the service
  • Ensuring that all complaints are managed effectively
  • Managing the end to end payroll process and ensure a high level of accuracy
  • Managing the delivery of ER case management across the business

Skills and experience:

  • Experience of managing a shared services team
  • 5+ years’ experience in a shared services role
  • Significant experience in all aspects of HR including HR systems, HR policies and processes, employment law, pensions and HR administration
  • Experience of managing an offshore team
  • Ability to analyse data and identify trends
  • Clear understanding of service delivery and using suitable metrics to manage performance
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Up to date payroll knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Natural problem solver
