HR Process PMO Analyst

What’s the role?

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to support the programme manager in a Human Resource Team, encompassing governance and standards around project management, planning and system management. This role ensures all initiatives administered by the programme adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for programme management, as well as supporting a continuous improvement agenda to ensure lessons are applied from previous projects.

Project Overview

  • Support the programme manager in defining the methodology for the successful delivery of a range projects within the programme
  • Support the clear understanding of standards and governance through regular review sessions with key stakeholders
  • Support the audit of in-flight activity to ensure compliance with agreed standards
  • Support a continuous improvement agenda by facilitating lessons learnt sessions at all stages of delivery
  • Ensure that risks and issues are fully understood and are being correctly managed
  • Coordinate regular governance meetings and reviews to ensure standards are contemporary and adapt to changing business needs
  • Proactively monitor a range of projects to highlight any potential issues as early as possible and provide advice and guidance on risk mitigation strategy

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a project environment
  • Understanding in various project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall etc)
  • Knowledge of HR system marketplace, especially Workday and SAP HCM
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
  • Functionally IT literate, and an ability to communicate effectively with IT professionals
  • Proven experience of working in a project environment
  • Proven experience in working across a portfolio of initiatives
  • Experience of working in a complex matrix organisation
  • Able to plan and organize the work of themselves and others to ensure the achievement of targets and outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently engage with others
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Possess good creative skills and make suggestions for improvement
  • Must be able to work under pressure and to constantly changing deadlines
  • Must be pro-active and self-motivated
